I've already opened the port from my router, and even to use another port (when I do that, I get some really ugly errors and nothing works). But then, I had a problem, which is basically why I'm posting here: when it tries to use the 25565 port, it fails to bind to it. It even created a server.properties file in the same folder as the server. I was actually able to start running the server without having issues. So, after a few attempts on running the server, I finnaly got some results. The JVM is called JamVM, and it's also on the Cydia Store. So I had to install a Java Virtual Machine, which would allow me to execute the program. In order to run it, I tried using a Terminal like-app from cydia (simulates a command-prompt for the iPhone, and it works great ) to run the file, but there was one problem: iDevices don't support Java at all. I've transfered the minecraft_server.jar to the iPhone using SSH. First of all, I have an jailbroken iPhone 4S. Ok, so keeping that in mind, let's get to what I've done so far. I would like people to comment only if they are interested in seeing this working, and not to change my mind. I do know the fact that the iPhone is not a powerful machine and that even if I'm able to make it, it will be a laggy server, but this is more for the challenge of making it work rather than something that can acctually be used. Now, before I even begin, I would please ask people not to comment things like: "It's impossible" or "Running it on you're computer would be much better". I've already made some progress, but I would like some help along the way. Ok, so as you can see by the title, I am currently trying to run an Minecraft Server on an iPhone. ![]() Before posting anything, PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST. ![]()
